Italo's Kitchen is a family-inspired Italian food business built around a love of Italian food, traditional flavours and the pleasure of sharing good food with others.
My Story
I attribute my upbringing to my passion for food, cooking and entertaining. As a young kid from a Southern European background, most of our weekends were spent eating, celebrating and getting together with the families of both my parents. I loved the madness, noise and passion during those times together.
It was all about food, getting together and having fun. Even though my mum’s side of the family wasn’t well off, we always ate like kings and queens. It always brings a smile to my face whenever I taste this from my memories.
Now I am creating the same memories for my children, grandchildren, family & friends. The joy on their faces when I cook for them is the greatest gift in the world!
Our Story
My passion for hospitality and Italian food comes from my background in the hospitality industry and my experience running an Italian bar at Swinburne University for five years. During that time, I helped establish and operate a welcoming venue that brought students, teachers and university staff together.
Now, I want to bring that same passion for food and hospitality to Italo's Kitchen, working alongside my wife, Helena, to build a business that reflects our values of quality, care and authenticity.
We are starting with Pinsa Romana, homemade passata and homemade jams, with plans to expand our range over time to include more Italian favourites and seasonal products.
Our aim is to offer customers food that feels personal, carefully prepared and inspired by the flavours of Italy. We want people to enjoy our products at home and feel that every item has been made with care.
